What is the Fuji Apple

Fuji apple is an apple cultivar, which means it was selected for its characteristics. In other words farmers find favorable traits that apple possesses then select those traits for growing. 

Fuji apples come from a cross between a Red Delicious and a Rawls Jennet. 

Fuji apple is mainly red with streaks of light green, it has low tartness, high crisp, low sweetness, and high juiciness. 

Fuji apples grow mainly in Japan, China, California, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New York, Washington, and Washington State. It originated in Japan, hence the name Fuji which comes from the place the apple was invented in Fujisaki, Aomori, Japan.
