What is the Lemonade Apple

Lemonade apples are a unique type of apple not only for its taste, but also its appearance. This apple is a hybrid between a Gala and Braeburn. This post will share everything there is to know about the lemonade apple.

What does the Lemonade Apple look like

Lemonade apple mainly has light yellow/gold color with red blush marks. These blush marks are unique in the way they appear on the apple. That is, they are only on part of the apple and never the entire surface. It is medium to small sized, an oval shape, and deep navel / stems.

What does the Lemonade Apple taste like

Lemonade apples taste just like lemonade! High sweetness, very high tartness, high crisp, and medium juiciness. The combination of the four characteristics makes for a pleasurable eating experience. Imagine the apple tastes like a crunchy lemonade. If you see this apple at your local store, just buy it and you won’t regret it.

In addition, this apple is a bit tough and has a high tartness which is comparable to the Pink Lady apple. That is, if you sensitive teeth you might have to take slower bites to handle the toughness of the apple. However when you take that bite the flavor will be epic!

Where did this apple come from

Lemonade apples were created in New Zealand and came to the United States at the start of 2000. Currently the rights to sell the apple is with two companies Yummy Fruit Company in New Zealand and Giumarra Company in the United States. That means, the best place to get the apple is in either New Zealand, or the United States but you can purchase outside of these countries.
